Taylor and Waterfield

In the 2000 Olympics at Sydney, Leon Taylor and Peter Waterfield came fourth in the 10 metre synchronised diving event. Four years later, in Athens, they won silver. This was Britain's first Olympic medal in diving since Brian Phelps won bronze in the 10 metre platform at Rome in 1960.

Peter Waterfield partnered Tom Daley (13 years his junior) at London in 2012. They finished in an agonising fourth place, after a poor reverse 3½ somersaults with tuck in their fourth dive put them out of medal contention. Daley won bronze in the 10 metre platform event at the same games.
